Inexpensive Valentine’s Day Gift Ideas

“Love is in the air… Can you feel it? If you can’t, you’re insensitive and hopeless!” Marikenya

It’s already mid-January and at this time, malls and other shopping places are already crawling with Valentine’s Day gift items. Hmm… Being a total shopping freak, my issue is choosing to buy my honey an expensive valentine’s day gift or… make him one?

Since I’ve bought him an expensive shirt last Christmas and I’m short of budget, I’l vouch for the latter — my valentines day gift would be a personalized one. :)

And of course, if you would opt to give your honey a personalized treat, then better start thinking now! Let me share with you some fantastic personalized and inexpensive ideas that would melt and fire the passion in your romance this Valentines.

  • A Personal Massage and Other Treats Coupons. A couple of years back, I thought of a really sweet and innovative birthday present for my husband. I designed and printed coupons from my computer that offers full-body massage, foot spa treat, free carwash, and “extra services” deemed by the holder (*wink).
  • Breakfast in Bed with a Twist. At exactly 6:00 AM, I awoke my honey with a very special valentine’s day breakfast served by a “cupid in red” and with the perfect ambiance to go with it. Can you visualize that? If you can’t, give me a message and I’ll explain it teeheee… :)
  • Love in the Mirror. One of my favorites, my husband was really touched by this. I bought a box of his favorite chocolates, ferrero rocher, then paste the box along with a very special card with our pictures and personalized valentine’s day message using glitters and paper cutouts. I pasted this card and chocolate in front of our mirror before I left for work so when he went home after driving me to the office, he was really surprised and pleased about this masterpiece.
  • Cellphone Alarm Greeting. This one’s truly inexpensive, would not cost you anything. Let’s optimize our honey’s cellphone by going to the calendar menu, and setting the alarm by 12:00 midnight of valentine’s day with your love greeting and message. Mine was “waking you up to say I’m still very much in love with you after all these years, happy valentines day honey.”
  • Note in His Wallet. Another inexpensive treat but no doubt a winner! How? Cut a special paper the size of a credit card or larger, design it with colors, then put your message. Put it in his wallet secretly and wait for him to find it so he would truly be surprised. Make sure the design was striking so when he peek at his wallet, he will be curious by this card.

Do you have other unique and personalized gift ideas in your mind? Give me a message and I will include it here and give you a “valentines day link” here in my site! Happy Hearts day everyone! :)

Here is a great gift idea that is quick and easy but very fun and different. At www.yournovel.com, you and your sweetie can star in your very own, wild or mild, romance novel. I have purchased these for many occasions and they are always a hit.
