Marikina is such a progressive city. I live so close to it. The current mayor was my classmate in one of my classes in UP.

Mabuhay!
WOW! good to know na merong free training courses sa Marikina.

Miss Mhel, your website is very informative, especially for Marikenyos and Marikenyas. Your devotion to serve your community thru this site is A-1! Keep going because they need one like you! And I hope God bless you for all your efforts.
One more thing, maybe the City should consider giving adult education program for citizens above 35 years old. It is not because they are older that they should be left behind by the younger ones. Besides, I find that discrimination is going around the employers’ boxes when it comes to hiring someone above 30 years of age for men or women. I think that they are forgetting that the best work force comes from experience of the minds.
In the US and Canada, it is unlawful to discriminate…no employers should ask about a candidate’s age, gender, race, nationality, or physical handicap. Hope the Philippines follow suit.

Hi Violeta!
WE actually share the same sentiments. It’s very unfair that many (if not most) companies choose young workers and even close their doors to old workers. If you would notice, most of the training programs under CENTEX actually accepts old people up to 60, as long as they are fit physically and intellectually to enroll in the course. We encourage lifelong learning and productivity at any age.
