Stretch Marks and Women’s Confidence

January 25, 2008 · Filed Under general, relationship, self-help

Being a woman is indeed harder than men because of the fact that we are the ones responsible for birth delivery which put our lives into danger. Also sad is the fact that due to pregnancy, women are more prone to getting stretch marks.

To others, it may not be a big deal but to many women, stretch marks may tarnish self-confidence. After giving birth to my first born, Marcus, I realized I cannot face my husband naked anymore without the lights off. It got worser after giving birth to my second child, Marvic, I panicked and used creams to prevent stretch marks but of course, there’s no way I can prevent it anymore, it’s already there.

Fortunately, our today’s technology allow us to combat problems like this which in our mother’s time seem impossible. There’s the availability of stretch mark cream in the market and among the best that I’ve heard of is the revitol stretch mark cream.

And although it is helpful that we get rid of our stretch marks (so we can wear those bikinis again), the best cure for losing confidence is loving and accepting yourself the way you are including the changes and development that aging and pregnancy entail. It’s still a beautiful life. :)

I wear my stretch marks like a badge of honor. Something to be proud that I bore 3 wonderful children.

It’s his strong character and sincere efforts to “urbanize” the metropolis and us city dwellers that keeps me an avid fan. He belongs to a very rare breed of public officials that really walk the talk. I think he deserves all the support he can get from Filipinos. :D
