<<<<<<<-------------------------------------------->>>>>>>
For Marikeños, here is the partial (because I would be adding more as I roam around this city) listing of Must-Go-To Restaurants and Eateries in Marikina as well as their Specialty so you would know where to go when you crave for something homemade and insatiably yummy!
What’s more, most of these good stuff in my list are affordable and would not hurt your budget much. Those restos with * sign are quite expensive so you better ready your pocket when you take a visit.
SNACK and PASALUBONG GALORE
3 Es and Mom’s, Concepcion Dos, just transferred to an area adjacent to Ka Andres Chapel. The last time we went, the price has gone up to P55.00 per glass. It’s more delicious than ever.
Boyongs, San Roque along E. Dela Paz, about 7 houses from Chinatrust bank. I love their halo-halo because its very cheap and yet, very delicious.
.
I Barbecue BBQ Special I
Frederick’s BBQ, they have three branches: the main is in San Roque, beside the Our Lady of Abandoned Church, the other one is in Sto. Niño, along M. Cruz St. and another one in San Roque also, Somewhere along E. Dela Paz if I’m not mistaken.
Mom’s Grill, Calumpang.
.
I Goto and Tokwa’t Baboy I
Macky’s, they have two branches: the main is in San Roque, along J.P. Rizal St near the Our Lady of Abandoned Church, the other one is in Concepcion Uno, along Bayan-Bayanan Ave.
Goto Republic, along J.P. Rizal St., Lamuan. This store closed already.
Goto Magic, along J.P. Rizal St., Lamuan. This store is open 24/7.
Mang Dave’s Goto, along Shoe Ave. St., Concepcion Uno. My husband brought me to this store some years back and we still eat there every now and then. Mang Dave is a good cook and he operates his gotohan in their garage and is open only in the morning.
.
I Special Puto I
Rocha’s Puto, 2nd St., Paliparan, Sto. Niño. The best for me.
Remy’s Puto, J.P. Rizal St., San Roque, near Shoe Museum
.
I Grilled Burger I
Mommy Chit’s*, JP Rizal St., San Roque, in front of the Shoe Museum. I love going to this place. The ambiance is nice, the store’s interior design is really beautiful. Their burgers and sandwiches are big enough for two people.
Boyongs, San Roque along E. Dela Paz, about 7 houses from Chinatrust bank. The cheap but delicious alternative.
The Old Coffee House , JP Rizal St., San Roque, in front of the Shoe Museum. The place was recommended by a Marikenya reader, Yts. Love the place, love their burgers! Managed by a good old co-worker Richie, visit to this “resto-in-a-garage” is worth it, promise.
.
I Spaghetti I
Mommy Chit’s*, JP Rizal St., San Roque, near Shoe Museum.
Macky’s, they have two branches: the main is in San Roque, along J.P. Rizal St near the Our Lady of Abandoned Church, the other one is in Concepcion Uno, along Bayan-Bayanan Ave.
The Old Coffee House , JP Rizal St., San Roque, in front of the Shoe Museum.
Bon Challet , Sta. Elena. They have two branches also, one somewhere inside the inner street before going down the river, let me get the exact address of that okay, the other one is along the riverpark before the River Park Development Office.
.
I Pichi Pichi I
3 Es and Mom’s*, Concepcion Dos, just transferred to an area adjacent to Ka Andres Chapel.
.
I Pansit Malabon or Palabok I

Dolor’s, Sto. Niño near Sto. Niño Elementary School. My boss love their malabon and so do I.

Edong’s for Crispy Bihon, San Roque.

ATM Panciteria for Pansit Bihon, many branches all over Marikina, one is in San Roque, close to Dep-Ed Bldg, another in Parang.

REAL MEALS — For Lunch and Dinner
Boyongs, San Roque along E. Dela Paz, about 7 houses from Chinatrust bank.
Goto Magic, along J.P. Rizal St., Lamuan. This store is open 24/7.
.
I Blue Marlin in Honey Sauce I
Cafe Kapitan**, Inside Kapitan Moy Bldg, J.P. Rizal, San Roque, a fine dining restaurant. I love eating here, only I can’t afford it.

.
I Tenderloin Steak I
Pan de Amerikana, SSS Village, Concepcion Dos.

Crispy Ears and Isaw at Station Grill, Riverbanks Center area beside Taverna Marquina.
.
I NEW! NEW! NEW! More Options Contributed by Readers I
Famous’ Johnny’s Fried Chicken in Public Market Zone, W.Paz St., Sta Elena courtesy of Lotusflower. I actually went to lunch to Johnny’s yesterday and I don’t just love their chicken now, I also love their Marikina-made banana catsup (ketchup) which is exclusive. at Johnny’s resto but you can buy it for only P20.00 each/bottle.

Dinuguan and Puto Bungbong Special at Boyong’s!
sources in Marikina. I would be updating and adding more in this list every now and then.
Chow! Este… ciao!
