Marikenya Gives Back Special…
I had such a wonderful time managing and writing for Marikenya. It wasn’t easy for me to learn new things about blogging but I was very lucky to have such a good support system — my friends in the virtual and real world who helped, tutored, and read and subscribed to Marikenya.
To everyone… Allow me to say my thanks through my son…

Edelweiza: Hi der! I admire BF, too. I always see him during Cabinet events in the Palace as our office is the one in-charge of them. It’s his strong character and sincere efforts to “urbanize” the metropolis and us city dwellers that keeps me an avid fan. He belongs to a very rare breed of public officials that really walk the talk. I think he deserves all the support he can get from Filipinos. :D
Dennis: I was once a passerby, ngaun mukang magiging regular reader at “avid fan” na din! hahaha!

yes, monetization is part of marikenya. at first, i was just monetizing it because i need some form of income to keep it running (paying for hosting, domain etc.) and then eventually, i learned from blogger friends how to monetize more from your blog without sacrificing contents and with the case of marikenya, without sacrificing the intention of the blog to help, promote and advocate.
my motivation — my passion for marikina as well as my passion for learning and teaching. i believe marikenya’s readers feel my passion in my posts. i’m a proud marikenya in every way and i think when readers read this blog, they see and feel that i really do.
at first, marikenya.com was just a journal of my daily experiences but in the long run, i found out i can make it more than that and it was not easy but all my effort was well worth it. it was just a hobby at first, now, marikenya blog is a way of life for me.
