“When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child.”

I am cramming. There are two very important women in my life that I wanted to give something special to this Sunday but I am still undecided what to give. Every year, I never fail to give them a gift, most often, the ones I feel they need or wanted. This year though, I don’t have a clue.

Mother’s day has always been an important event for me, since the day I became a mother too. Now I believe that what they say about motherhood is true, that you would only truly appreciate your mother when you become one. I have always loved my mom but I loved her more after giving birth to my two sons.

Today, I think of women in maternity clothes as icons of sacrifices, pains, and love. I remember a blogger friend who told me when I expressed my worry about stretch marks, that she wear hers like a badge. Motherhood is like surviving a war and it’s always worth it.

To my mother Erly and to my mother-in-law Emmy, I love both of you and I hope I was able to express it well.
