Best Blessings From God
Last week, I subjected myself to the dreaded ultrasound. I was in jitters. Luckily, I was accompanied by my good friend, Pops. She helped me eased my tension by making me laugh. The ultrasound would determine if the lumps or mass the doctor found in my breast are benign. I was very depressed the night before and I cried very hard out of fear but I thought, tomorrow is the day and soon, it would be over and done.
The Good Shepherd Clinic was also in Marikina. It’s small but neat although lacking high-tech apparatus with KVM switches. I was referred to the clinic by our good doctor, Dr. Ethyl Cayetano, very pleasant and kind. In a while, we were ushered to the lab room where we met Dr. Alba, another nice doctor who will do the ultrasound for me. She made me felt comfortable by talking nonstop and asking questions that were not related to my being there. After a while, she announced: “there must be some mistake, I can’t seem to find those lumps.”
It was my turn to beam. I was very happy and close to tears. I thanked God for the clean bill of health and praised him for this wonderful gift of life that he again gave me so I can live longer for my family and those who appreciate, need and love me.
For those who prayed for me and for those who cared, thank you so much. And most of all, thanks to God.
