This morning when I woke up, I saw our three seater-sofa lying nakedly in the living room. My mother decided its cover already needed soaking. I bought this sofa more than 10 years ago when I got my first bonus paycheck from work. It’s actually a gift I bought for my father. As I stared, I realized it already looked very worn-out and needed replacement.
Last month, when we decided to have a little home remodeling, I went to a discount furniture shop and bought cabinets for our clothes and shoes. I put aside buying a new sofa since I thought it still looks nice while silently thinking my budget wouldn’t be able to afford it.
Today, it’s very clear. No matter how sentimental I am towards our decade-old couch, it has to go. The question now is: how on earth would I buy a new one? Let me contemplate on it while eating breakfast. Good morning everyone.
