We celebrated the birthday of our friend Anna with a bang last Saturday. It was one of the most unforgettable birthday treat I have experienced in my life. It was fun and very enjoyable, a welcome treat to all of us busy moms.
At first, the idea was to get to a really nice bar where we can dance and party all night. We all love dancing and singing and the birthday girl is a fantastic singer. After eating green bean casserole leftover, my husband and I dashed to our meeting place. I was kinda late and found all of the girls already in the Rav4, our service for the night with the kind Mang Carding at the drivers seat.
Anna announced we have a nine o’clock reservation at TonTon’s so we have to hurry. At first, I thought we were talking about dinner and TonTon’s being a restaurant but no, it is actually a place for spa and massage! I was really thrilled. My last massage treat was like a month ago already and after such a long and stressful week, I would trade dinner and partying to a smoothing massage.
We went to TonTon’s Annapolis branch. The entrance design was Thai and the aroma of eucalyptus oil filled the air which was relaxing already. We were ushered inside a dimly-lit room with reclining chairs where we were seated and given hot pillows for our neck and a comforter. The treatment started with a hot foot soak, followed with the hand massage. The foot massage was excellent and the one-hour session ended with the back and neck massage. We all agreed we wanted to go straight to bed, we felt very relaxed and relived of stress.

The Wat Po Thai traditional massage was indeed a delightful experience and I have all the intention of coming back to TonTon’s. For those who wanted to try their services, here are the information you’ll need:

Groggily and hungrily, we headed to Las Paellas for a sumptuous dinner. We ordered pizza, panini, steak and angus tapa but all these were too salty for our taste. We also ordered mango mambo and frozen brazo for desert and we got pretty lucky, their cakes were really delicious! Highly recommended.
Our group then headed to Jill’s at The Fort, popular for playing music from the 80’s. The place was crowded with the Saturday night crowd. We drank beer and ate peanuts while swaying to the music. We ended the night by visiting the giant dinosaurs exhibit just behind Jill’s, you should bring your kids there to see the dinos.
Thanks to Mang Carding for bringing us home safely and to Anna, the birthday girl for the wonderful, wonderful treat. Looking forward to our next year’s adventure.
