It’s final — Barack Obama is United States of America’s first black President.
The drama of Obama’s victory was felt hardly at his home town in Chicago where some people even cried after the news of his winning.
The history is made by the Americans, for the Americans. The 44th president of America is a son of a black farmer from Kenya and a white mother from Kansas. Obama defeated the rich Senator from Democrat Party John Mc Cain. Conceding his lost, he said: “The American people have spoken, and spoken clearly.”
Obama’s running mate Sen. Joseph Biden of Delawar also won as Vice President of US. Both will take their oath in January 20 of 2009.

Today that US is facing a recession and economic instability, Americans have high expectations over Obama’s victory. In our country where majority of the population awaits the result of the US election, we will soon witness if there is something historical and worth awaiting from the first black chief executive of the country that colonized the Philippines for a long period of time.
