My Newest Gadget: The Nokia 6600 Slide

Sometime in June, I bought my first Sony Ericsson phone, the K770i. It was a 3G mobile with a nice phone cam resolution and other nice features and a sleek look, all at quite an affordable price. I was influenced by a friend to choose this particular model and I was very happy with it until recently.

A month ago, I noticed some problems with the phone. The letters in the keypad gets stuck, there were network or signal problems and at times, the phone hangs. I decided it’s time for a switch. I went to Sta. Lucia East Grandmall, the closest mall from Marikina where there are good number of cellular phone distributors to choose from, and studied the models of the phones. I was thinking I would again buy a Sony Ericsson, Nokia always introduce new models and with this, the value of the phone easily decreases.

I even thought of buying second hand phones and even unlocked cell phones since I thought I’d make a great deal from such. In the end, I fell in love with a violet Nokia flip-top phone, the new Nokia 6600 fold. The saleslady told me the phone’s cam resolution is also 3 megapixel, just like my K770i.

In truth, that mobile is expensive for its plain features but as I’ve said, I fell in love with the phone. I am a violet person and very kikay that when I saw the that phone, I just thought it’s the most perfect and the most beautiful thing I ever laid eyes on. I paid immediately and brought the phone home.

Soon as I hit home, I opened the PC and made a quick research on the features and specs of my New Nokia 6600 fold. My eyes bulged and my brain dissipated when I learned that the specs of this phone is lower than what I was told, it’s simply a 2 megapixel phone with no extravagant features to offer.

The day after, me and my friend rushed to the mall to demand for an explanation why I was told a lie about the phone’s features. It was funny how the salesladies and the owners of the store still insisted that it’s 3megapixel phone until they called another cellphone store owner who explained they were wrong. I won my case and at that instant, they asked me if I wanted a switch. At that instant, I had to make a decision and my friend and I saw the Nokia 6600 slide, a sleek black slide phone which cam’s resolution is 3megapixel.

When I went home that night, my Nokia 6600 fold was replaced with the Nokia 6600 slide. My husband loved it better, no man appreciated my violet 6600 fold anyway. I am in-love with the phone too except for the fact that when it rings or alarms, I can hardly hear the sound of the tone. Man oh man, I bought a beauty queen without a knack for answering the Q&A. My luck. Tough luck.
