A friend of mine who also provides web hosting services for Marikenya.com and my other blogs just warned me about hackers who took over some of his blogs just yesterday. He was furious and I understand him with all my heart. I was panicky myself. I can’t imagine my blog being hacked especially this site Marikenya.com which is my primary blog and my passion.
This event made me realize the need for backing up my files as well as doing some measures that would somehow protect my site from being hacked.
This early, I would like to apologize to all of you who would like to subscribe to this site using the new user registration provided by Wordpress. If you wanted to subscribe to Marikenya’s feeds, please use the feedburner delivery service that may be found at the end of every post, there’s also another one at the top of the rightmost part of every page.

So many has been affected by this hacking problems. As I am writing this, I am already backing up my files. I hope no more hacking incidents would follow and let us pray that these malicious individuals would get what they deserve in the end to serve their lessons.

You’re using a very out of date version of WordPress. Please, please upgrade. It’s as important as doing backups. Maybe more so as your blog is wide open to be hacked. Same goes for your breathtechnology blog.

Thanks for the scolding, I need that. I know I the need for upgrading a long time ago but i kept on putting it off because I don’t know how to do it. I would have to learn it now somehow. Thanks for taking time to give me advice on this issue.
