Our school participated in the event back in 1999, the year it was first celebrated. I was also my last year in highschool (Parang High School). During that time, each baranggay represents a region. Region I is for Baranggay Parang. For the presentation we retold the story of Urduja (Pangasinan) and Lam-ang (Ilocos), and then we danced to the tune of Bagong Umaga thanks to Sir Rubak Valle (Ugat Puno of Sineskwela), who served as our choreographer. It was a momeorable for me. We didn't win, but the experience is all worth it.
