In the last months, my blogging time was limited due to the absence of internet connection at home. I decided to cut my smart bro connection after a year of my lock-in period with smart.
A couple of months back, I have decided to choose and apply for broadband connection. My choices were PLDT MyDSL, Globe Broadband Blundle and Sun Broadband Visibility Package. Fortunately, Migs of migsmobile.net lent me his sun visibility kit for a day and I was able to check whether I can connect with it at our home in Marikina. The connection was not that fast though and I was not able to find connection at the first level of our house but it worked okay in our second floor. The connection was good enough for me to decide though that if my PLDT and Globe application will not be approved immediately, I would definitely get my own visibility kit.
Since PLDT can’t find an open line in our area, I decided to apply with Globe Center in Marikina. They have assured me there’s a line in our area but as to the date of the installation, they were not able to tell me when. That was when I decided to get my visibility kit at Sun Cellular located inside the Robinsons Metro East. After a few hours of waiting and paying of more than 2,500+++, I already went home my own broadband kit.
I then called Globe Customer Service to request the removal of my request for installation of Globe Broadband Bundle but I was informed that I have to go the Business Center to formally request that. The day after, I was surprised that Globe was already at our home and ready to install our phone and broadband.
This leaves me with two broadband subscription: Globe at 1,000 per month and Sun at 800 per month. Whew! I was told by my friend Migs that I am now a certified blogger, one that is constantly “connected.” Migs himself actually have three broadband connections! What’s ironic is that I hardly use internet at home because as a mother, I can only blog for less than three hours a day and I have two internet connections to choose from. Whew again!
What’s cool though is that I can now blog anytime and anywhere I like. Suits well with my intention of having a make-over for Marikenya.com and my other blog breathtechnology.com.
