Goodbye Kababayan Ko…

I am a silent fan. I sing his songs, I adore his being nationalistic, I admire his courage. Yes, I am a fan.

The remains of the great Francis Magalona, fondly called the Man from Manila, or simply Francis M., will lie forever here in my great city, Marikina. I can’t help feeling melancholic, the media hyped about him and his memories no matter how cheesy, I would admit I cried several times for a lost of an idol.

His songs would live forever in my MP4 player, in my CDs and in my laptop. His music would always bridge the gap of generations, of music and of patriotism. He may have died physically but his legacy would live forever and we can only hope that many young artists of today would follow the path Francis M traveled so more Pinoys would remember our love for our country and fellowmen.

To my kabababayan, your kaleidoscope world journey may have ended but not for us who would always remember you for your music. God bless your soul.

I am a silent fan indeed, i even got a crush on him way way back i was a teenager.I can say that he is so brave and for all the things i heard and saw recently on the television and all means of communication, specially the internet, i adored him even more.Wow! Its so amazing how kiko and pia raised their children.I know all of us is not perfect, we have ups and downs and all the flaws.I just want to say that i really admire Pia for all the braveness and strenght she have with all the things.I salute you Pia… And thanks for being kind and open to share to the public francis life’s story. You both did good job with your HAPPY BATTLE. I will surely miss seeing kiko on the t.v and i will surely continue listening to his music. Like i did before since i heard that COLD SUMMER NIGHT when i was still highschool. I know at some point, Kiko opened some part in our heart to be open and aware and be proud to be a filipino. I hope he will never be forgotten like the others who have serve our country. May you rest in peace KIKO….
