Effects of The Hosting Scam

It’s been almost a week now after I was scammed by a pretentious hosting company but I can’t still move forward easily. There’s so much to be done (because I almost lost everything), but I’m confused and too depressed to start somewhere.

I still can’t believe this all happened. I’ve worked so hard to establish marikenya.com and in a matter of seconds, my site’s gone from the blogosphere along with my money (the advance payment for a year-worth of hosting). It was all too… surreal.

I wanted to cry but even my tears won’t go down. I was too stunned to think and decide what to do next. It was only after a day I made my first move by seeking the help of a good friend Neil who helped me establish marikenya.com and who hosted my site for years. Thank God for his immediate action, I was able to put marikenya.com online again but my articles from later part of March to July are all gone and not retrievable anymore. The reality is way too depressing for me.

My apology to you dear readers for the long lull as I am still working on redeveloping the site. Rest assured that I’ve learned my lessons and would be wiser this time in trusting people online. Plus, I promise you that I would continue on my advocacy on making this site an informative reference. Give me some time and this blog will be back on its feet to serve you.

These learning experiences caused me so much stress. I just hope it would help me lose weight like the product of an effective diet pill. You can see that I’m still trying to look at things in a positive light although I am way too sad to even cast a smile.

I am still not disclosing information on the fraud as me and the other victims of the scam are still hopeful that there’s still some conscience left in the scammer’s heart and he would return our sites’ databases, no need to refund our payment. If you’re reading this, we beg you to return our databases, no questions asked, the money are yours to keep and we would not bother you anymore, in anyway. We just need our databases back. Please…
