One of the most valuable possession that was taken away by devastating typhoon Ondoy from me was my desktop PC. It took me some time years ago to finally save enough to own a personal computer only to lose it in the flood.
Since I’m a voracious tech user, I am in dire need of a computer and I have decided to make a switch. I was a fan of desktop computers and I believe back then it’s hard to do the stuff I do with designing platform like adobe photoshop in a small laptop computer. When I started using laptops in our office, my opinion about these small and powerful computers changed. I am now a fanatic of laptops and netbooks.
Although it will take me some time (budget wise) to actually buy a replacement for my old PC, I am now in search for the best and right laptop for me. Hence, I would like to consult techy people out there, what laptop will you recommend for me?
Basically, I want a laptop that has a good processor and memory since I am definitely going to install programs like Adobe Photoshop since I am into graphic design. I’ve heard that in buying electronics, it’s important that the company has a good customer support. I hope you can share with me your experiences with the support assistance provided by different computer companies such as Dell, HP, Lenovo, Neo, Acer, Compaq, and others.
Hopefully too, it is not that heavy that it would hurt my back when I lug it around and affordable enough not to burn a hole in our family budget. So, any recommendation for me?

May be out of your budget but I recommend a genuine MacBook…… and you won’t need customer support.
