Eighteen (18) days to go before Christmas!!!
Yesterday, while waiting for the church mass, I asked my son if he’s excited about Christmas. He said “yes” and I asked him why. He said it’s a happy and exciting day for him.
I’m very glad my son and I share the same fondness for this special day. Nothing can beat the spirit and excitement of Christmas for me, even my own birthday. It is wonderful that I sort of passed on this positive feelings towards Christmas to my baby.
Allow me to share with you some of the things we have done in preparation for the big day. Last Saturday, my husband and I went to Divisoria and we bought a nice christmas bell with lights for our door. We put it yesterday and adorned its pretty lights during the nighttime. This was our first christmas decor for this year. We also went to the supermarket and bought some canned all-purpose cream and condensed milk, we’re already stocking groceries for the noche buena and these canned good area important for my annual special dessert treat.
Since I was a child, I have always looked forward for Noche buena feasts. It was our family’s tradition to gather and eat together at exactly 12 midnight of December 24 and greet each other merry Christmas. This tradiiton is something I wanted my established family to follow too. And of course, I am in-charge of making desserts being the one with the sweet tooth. Looks like I need to buy now appetite suppressant pills if I don’t want to add more bulges to my already bulging stomach. Ugh!
What about you? What preparations have you done for Christmas so far?
