The Problem with Salty Food Addiction and Impeding Urination

What is the effect of liking salty food and impeding urination? Health problems.

This morning, I accompanied my husband to the doctor. He was having problems with urinating. We later found out that he’s got urinary tract infections or UTI after the result of the urinalysis came out. My husband loved salty food just like me and when he eats sinigang or nilaga, he won’t be able to enjoy the food without salt and chilli by the side. Aside from that, he always delay urinating during the nighttime so as not to disturb his sleep.

Medication for UTI is not easy too as you need to take antibiotics for seven (7) days, afterwhich, you need to undergo a lab test again to make sure you’re healed. At times, the pain due to this sickness is so severe you will feel excruciating pain and would need pain relievers. UTI may also lead to kidney problems if worsened.

Why am I writing about this? I am a regular case of UTI. I acquired this when I was in college and it never left me since then. It even worsened during my first pregnancy and I believe it to be one of the reasons why the immune system of my second baby was not developed well.

UTI is just one illness that makes me nervous, there are so much more. I just told my officemate this morning that it is so expensive to stay healthy. This afternoon, I bought a bottle of multivitamins to help me cope with stress. Of course, taking vitamin supplements is not the entire remedy, living a healthy lifestyle is still the best solution.

Since I am not a woman who has a lot of time in her hands, I am wishing someone would give me a health equipment as a gift this Christmas like a Nintendo Wii complete with wii accessories so I can exercise in the comfort of our own home whenever I get the chance. It would be a really cool gift right? :D
