It’s Monday, the first working day for year 2010. I’m sure a lot of people still have the Christmas and New Year hang-over and still can’t believe the holiday-no-work season is already over.
As for me and my family, we attended the Sunday Mass yesterday at the San Isidro Labrador Parish in Nangka. It’s the first Sunday of the new year and we wanted to start it right by going to the chcurch. The parish priest was funny and interactive, When I looked up again, he was standing with his microphone next to some parishioners sitting somewhere in the middle portion of the church. In his sermon, he said that we are responsible for our lives and for the decisions we make.
He emphasized that if we wanted to achieve something, we should work hard for it and not leave our destiny to chances and fate. It is a good year thought and I really like it. It made me focus on my 2010 goals and plans which I am hoping to achieve through hard work and commitment.
Let me share with you some of these goals. First, I would like to go back to school to finally take up my masters in Education. While doing so, I am hoping to teach again at the college where I taught last semester and stopped from stress and exhaustion. I love teaching and I hope to make a comeback this year. I hope too that I can take on more high-paying assignments so I can start saving for our dream vehicle, a brand new family RV complete with insurance for rv repair. Now this is such a big goal and I know cannot be realized in a year but no harm in dreaming big for 2010 right?
What about you? What are your big dreams and plans for this year?
