Globe Telecom just pisses me. I tried not writing about them in the past months but Globe tested my patience months ago and drove me off the wall.

First offense. My globe bundle (internet and landline) was cut after Ondoy. That’s reasonable but what happened after wasn’t. I called Globe Customer Service for like million times for reconnection of my line and they keep on telling me they’re still doing repairs. It was hard to call customer service at that time and it took so much of my time to call them up and get connected. Anyway, when they were already able to repair the line, the repair people told us they won’t be able to do it because there were mud below the electric post where the globe wires were adn just call them up when the mud are gone. I was pissed, totally irritated but kept my cool.

Second Offense. After a week of putting my line back (finally), I received a bill stating I have to pay some P2,500+++! What?! I called customer service a lot of times and talked to different ones all the while lamenting what they’re putting me up with. Each one promised to do something about the problem. No one called me back after the promises.

Third Offense. A week after, I got another billing stating I now have to pay more than 3,500+++! What again??!!! My insanity is breaking down from stress. I called up customer service again and was promised more and… No one called me back.

Fourth Offense. They cut my line for non-payment. This is the part where I stopped calling customer service and personally stormed at their real office at SM Marikina. In fairness, the customer service was cool and was cordial, he immediately responded to my concerns and we made amends. My line was restored. I had to pay more than what I feel I should pay but at least he responded to my concerns.

Fifth Offense. They sent me a bill not honoring my previous conversation and agreement with the customer service at SM Marikina. I was furious like hell. I stormed again at Globe SM Marikina. A new customer service listened to my angry woes and resolved it again. I paid another hefty sum but I was okay with that believing that my concerns were addressed.

Sixth Offense. They cut my line yesterday. I wanted to scream damnations to Globe. I wanted to go directly to NTC and recommend for the termination of their license. They’re totally unforgivable. I called customer service to tell them about this and I was simply told: oo nga ma’am, nag-reflect nga po ang binayaran nyo” (yes ma’am, your payment reflected on the system). I promised not to swear names again but this time, I can’t help it!

Globe is totally hateable. I’ve been their loyal mobile subscriber for four years before this happened. I trusted their service that’s why I availed of their Globe Bundle promo. If I was not lock with their service for a year, I would have gladly disconnected myself from them forever. I gave Globe a chance but they only fooled me, twice, thrice… six times!

If you’re thinking of switching to Globe or availing of any Globe Telecom Services, think again and think some more. If you wanted your life in hell, yes, become a Globe subscriber. Good luck.

    Parang I can relate, I just recently changed my phone, and switched to Nokia E72, and without using their internet services for much ha, biglang lumaki charges ko 8k internet lang sa phone ko! Why would I use it when I have DSL at home? Grabe sila mag charge! I am still waiting for my bill, mag rereklamo talaga ako.

    Hay naku ma’am ako din!! Kaso sa SmartBro naman yung akin.. anlaki ng siningil sakin P4, 140.00! the customer representative told me to settle the account first so that they could investigate if I will be given a rebate. So binayaran ko and then the next month me dumating na naman na bill and there’s no rebate! Nadagdagan na naman yung bill ko ng 400.00 pa!! Kaasar!! I called the customer care service and they gave me a number and tawagan ko daw po yun kasi hindi daw nila alam yung reason bakit me dagdag yung bill ko.

    Hi anna and geraldine! it happened to me also, yang lumobong internet bill with Globe, nagcomplain ako and it reached them, they caled me up and gave a rebate. pero ung ngayon, walang pagasa to, globe is really suffering terrible glitches , i dont think they’d look at their billing problems now as it seem they’re taking their lossess from the flooding from their kawawang subscribers!

    ej, we can go to NTC. Right now, i am just waiting for my lockin period to end this March and im definitely switching to other bradband. if you wanted your laments to be heard also, i’ll help posting it.

    Smart is not much better than Globe and Sun can be very unreliable mobile connection wise.

    So what did I do?
    1. I got Sky Cable internet.
    2. Cellphone provider: I got all three but switched to prepaid. That way, when i’m unhappy I have no commitment with any of them and switch to the reliable one at the moment.

    hay naku, sa klase ng justice system sa bansa natin…i doubt it if mabibigyan ng justice ang complaints natin regarding sa globe services. i’m also a loyal patron of globe telecom i also have plenty of complaints against globe telecom and i would also like to appeal this to National Telecommunications Commission, kaso talamak ang corruption sa bansa natin, especially “red tape”, baka “just tiis” n lang ang mapala natin. but if globe can give a solution to our complaints, then i think that’s the only time for us to trust globe telecom more, instead of be dissapointed of them and switch to other networks.

    i got my 2mbps broadband connection with globe last feb 2010. since installation up to now parating wala internet. i am calling their office almost daily though it takes a lot of my time connecting to their service dept. for six months now nothing has come out of my daily calls to their office. i brought up the idea of having it disconnected but they told me to pay for the 1 year lock-in period. di ba hold-up na itong ginagawa ng globe? if the government won’t do anything about it then maybe it’s high time for us to do something…

    Sobrang bagal ng services ng SM marikina. Nag-apply yung mom ko for a fully loaded plan last september 5, but until now hindi padin activated. GRABE TALAGA. 11 days na nakalipas wala padin silang ginagawang action. Nakailang report na ko sa customer service at naka-VIP status na yung report ko wala padin. My God! Don’t they check their mail on a daily basis? And my mom has another existing line. So why can’t they prioritize our case? We are very disappointed with the kind of service Sm marikina gives their customers. If I were to rate it from A to F, it would surely be an F (or should I even pick Z?).

    @ Rome — sobrang nega talaga ang service ng globe, the sad thing is, sun and smart do not offer better connection access in our area so pinagtitiyagaan ko siya.
    @ Jack — we shud bombard Globe with complaints.
    @ Green — Globe SM Marikina is not at all customer-oriented. i had previous bad experiences with them too. :(

    Globe Telecom sells a variety of internet packages. Several of these packages are advertised as being ‘Unlimited’. The adverts lead customers to believe that they will recieve unlimited internet access (data transfer) for set periods of time, in return for their payment.

    However, Globe has a (very hidden) policy which actually sets strict limits on the data usage allowed to customers. This policy is the ‘Fair Use Policy’. It unilaterally sets an ‘average’ data consumption limit for customers. If customers exceed this limit, then they are deemed to be “abusing” their contract and their package is suspended.

    One example is the Globe Tattoo Broadband, on pre-pay. This is advertised as being “unlimited” broadband access. The customer pays based on the amount of time that they remain connected and using the broadband internet.

    However, the Fair Use Policy actually limits pre-pay Tattoo customers to a maximum of 1 Gb (gigabyte) of date use per day. This is not made clear to customers at any time when they purchase their Tattoo usb stick or buy load/credit to use that service.

    When a customer exceeds that 1GB limit, then their SIM card is blocked from internet access for 24 hours. Again, they are not warned that this can or will happen in advance.

    To put this data limit (1GB) into perspective…. the advertised maximum speed of Globe Tattoo Broadband is 3Mb per second. This means that, at full speed, the user will exhaust their data usage (1Gb = 1024 Mb) within 6 minutes!!!

    How can it be legal the Globe advertises and charges for “UNLIMITED” internet, when in fact, the maximum daily useage at advertised speed is a pathetic 6 minutes per 24 hours?????

    I honestly believe Globe is just a company after profits and more profits they dont care about customer service, and they are even well connected, we Filipinos should unite and demand that NTC should revoke their telecom license… napaka hassle nila. Their adverts signifies may super25 and combo20 pero when u try and even a hundred times trying the response would be… sorry too many subscribers subscribing to this unlicall service.. WTF… nag ads pa sila di din pala kaya ng system nila anu yun para magload tayo ng mag load at mauubos din… I am just an ordinary student no income of my own. ang afford ko lang load na 20 or 40 pero they would ads that 150 makaka register ka faster, hindi rin, i tried loading 150 sacrificing my meal allowance and walking home from school pero until now never pa ako naka avail ng unlicall na yan. They really need to burn in hell.. whoever is incharge is just totally f*cked up. sumusweldo ng malaki out of poor peoples income pero they dont deliver timely and customer friendly service

    Hay, right now, I’m so afraid of using the 3-hour internet freebie that I got from my new plan with Globe.. Baka lang ma-experience ko rin yung insane internet charges that many users have already reported.. Globe, instead of spending millions paying celebrities like Sarah Geronimo and Vice Ganda for advertising, why not channel it into improving your system and services! It’s not the artista’s that attract customers anyway..

    Globe has charged me P 2,400 plus last month for alleged internet usage on my cellphone, which I did not use. After appealing to them, they waived the charges. This month they charged me again, for this month’s alleged usage, but I still haven’t used the Internet on my cellphone. Now they are insisting that I pay. I can prove that I didn’t use the Internet on my cellphone, but they won’t listen. This is unfair! I’m not the only one who has been having this problem.

    mas matindi sa akin sumali ako sa globe rewards nila at binigyan nila ako ng rewards nila na dineduct sa points ko na SM GC 2000 , SABI NILA 20 DAYS LANG AT IDEDELIVER NILA , NAKARECIEVE PA NGA AKO NG VERIFICATION CODE THRU TEXT aba inabot na ng 4 months wala pa din at puro sila pangako , naisip ko magfile ng case sa kanila at complain sa DTI kaso may laban ba tayo talaga sa mga malaking telecommunication company na ito? magaling sila magmanipulate at conspiracy. kahit siguro mabagsakan ka ng cell site nila eh baka ikaw pa sisihin. malakas ang case ko laban sa kanila hope sana mapabor sa akin , may printoutrs ako ng email nila na humihingi sila paumanhin sa nagyari , to sum it all up admitted sila sa negligence nila

    lumalabas scum or fraud yung globe rewards , nagtataka ako hindi nila maideliver , grabe abala ginawa nila sa akin hoping na may reward ako na SM GC 2000 na dapat nung pasko ko pa nagamit , eh sumali ako last september pa aabutan na ako ng next year , may confirmation code ako plus emails nila , sufficient na ito na mananalo ako sa kaso , kaya lang natatakotakot ako na baka magaya ito sa pepsi 349 na kahit kasalanan ng company eh nababaluktot pa . dapat magooffer sila something in return kasi nakaagrabyado sila ng subscriber

    Mga kabayan, today’s jan 20, 2011. I wanted to share lang the problem to me with Globe. Nung December 16, 2010, nag subscribed ako sa Mysuperplan Supersurf Unlimited internet for 1,200 pesos, then nilagay ko sya sa Tattoo USB stick, during that time also, nag place ako ng local call for 20 mins. yun lang ang tawag na ginawa ko. Then heto na, yung bill ko dumating nung Jan 12, 2011, ok naman ang charges. bale nakasaan dun is 165 pesos Amount due to be paid on Jan 16, 2011. So, sinettle ko na agad ang account ko thru BPI, then today to my surprised, suddenly hindi nako maka text or outgoing calls. So i have called up Customer Service, sabi nila sakin, i have an unpaid bill which amounts to 7,000 pesos!!! I was like whaaaat the hell!?? 7,000 pesos mga kabayan and heto pa, nung tinatanong ko na kung pano nangyari yun, ang sabi sakin “e sir, wala pa po ang bill nyo” so in turn sabi ko pano mo naman nalaman na may 7k ako na dapat bayaran kung wala pang bill, sabi nila 2 or 3 days pa daw mapi print! haaay nako…ngayon meron akong stupidong globe na walang outgoing services. Dyos ko po, pwede ba ako mag sumbong kay Mr. Tulfo sa Aksyon Balita or sa mga kapatid nya? sakit naman kasi ng ganito, hindi naman tayo namumulot ng pera lang. dugo at pawis.
    Kung kailangan nyo mag complain mga kabayan pakisama ako para malakas ang pwersa natin.

    Well it seems that this company is turning into s***. They service s***s. Theyll have this promo of giving you free internet access for 1 hour but you have to subscribe to avail it but they wont deliver. Then theyre text messaging s***s too. Recepient of txt messaging dont receive the message then charge me with every message sent. This is a clear and obvious robbery. ( Thanks to the AYALA’S).

    By the way, i have also called their customer service too many times but no resolution to my complaints. And it seems that they are reading a script because what they are saying are all the same like “Sorry for the inconvenience blah blah” and “Rest assured we will resolve this ASAP blah blah”. I hear this everytime i will call them.

    true! it’s really frustrating to talk to telecom companies, and i mean all! not just globe. i encountered the poor service in virtually all telecom companies, starting with pldt, then smart, then globe, and now sun! it’s like they’re all competing for bad customer service.

    yes, i have experienced the lousy way Globe treats their customers. I have been a loyal subscriber for almost 3 years. I called their customer service if i can avail of their fully loaded plan so i can get the free phone i liked. i was asked to submit requirements which i did. i was promised it will be approved within 5 to 6 days. after 2 weeks, i followed up but to no avail. if we will file an individual complaint, we will not be entertained. however, if somebody will start an electronic mail petition to the senators or NTC then maybe they will listen. i heard there is an on going investigation on the sudden charges of one congresswoman. if somebody can trace that congresswoman so we can tell her our woes then maybe Globe will serve us better.

    after 6 years of being at globe.. i finally decided to to continue my contract… bad customer service.. no proper loyalty program (san ka ba makakakita ng bibigyan ka ng washing machine or vaccum cleaner as loyalty) kung may phone man.. yung mga patapon na phone way back 2009… ang tutuso nila.. bahala nang walang phone… wala nang matinong network… saka mga unexplained MMS charges eh di ko naman ginagamit phone ko for MMS.. what’s the point of having bluetooth saka laptop di ba.. ewan talaga.. sana malugi sila…..

    I understand where you are coming from, I have the same experience in terms of their customer service and we are very disappointed with how they treat their postpaid subscribers.

    I have been a subscriber since 2006 and until now I haven’t received any loyalty rewards from them because we found out this February that there was a mistake/error on my account which reflected that I was able to get a phone last 2009.

    In my anger, I called Globe Customer service since February until to this point to clear and resolve the issue and what can they offer to the inconvenience they did on my part. I also tried to reach them through Twitter, LiveChat and even Email.

    Retention department called me only three times (end of March, April 29 and May 10) and offered me their best proposal.. Cellphone units that are also available to postpaid users that have lower plans…

    I told the supervisor to come up with a better offer because the ones he presented to me are not acceptable. Since that’s the only offer he can propose to me, I decided to look for decision makers from Globe through LinkedIn. I added them and emailed them my concern I even reported the incident to DTI.

    I hope to get their feedback as soon as possible because I am scheduled to fly back to SG this 17th.

    Would visiting the business center can help resolve this problem?

    I recently visited Globe Galleria to avail my LOYALTY REWARD OF IPHONE 4, I applied May and a certain Janyl Lucero encoded the transaction. I was told processing would be 4-5 days, I return a week after that to claim and was advised the phone is still not availabe. I would get a call daw to inform me of the availability (transaction code CHU 11050001242). Past 2 weeks na I followed up again via calling 7301000 and gagawan daw ng follow up only to find out days after na mali yung transactions report na ginawa ng galleria and I have to re-applied again. WHATTT the @@@@@. THIS IS A LOYALTY REWARD @@@@@

    I encountered the same inefficiency by globe hotline sales. For my case, I applied for a plan and phone and used their 0% credit card installment scheme. I passed all the necessary documents and my phone was delivered to me. (I even made up a story that I was going out of the country the following day when they called that delivery would be delayed. Because of this, they delivered it as scheduled).

    When I got my bill, i was shocked to see that the full amount was charged to me. So I called the hotline. Lo and behold, they told me that there was no payment from the bank (credit card) and they did not see that my postpaid application was to be charged to the credit card. I told them that I submitted the form and even had a receipt with proof that the phone/ plan was charged to the credit card!

    They said they couldn’t do anything about it anymore. I had to talk to HSBC (credit card bank) to arrange an installment scheme. Because of this, I ended up settling my account by paying the billed amount in full!

    I thought it ended there.. 2 months after the phone was delivered to me, I get a bill from HSBC. The Globe Installment – 1st of 12 months was billed to me. Now I overpaid 27k++ in full.

    So inefficient. Seems like they don’t communicate internally and the system isn’t updated. DONT EVER APPLY TO GLOBE HOTLINE SALES.

    How about the compensation for those who had inconvenience because of your employees fault??? anu un sorry na lang!! I had finish my 2 year load tipid plan with Globe and decided to add another plan(499 my super plan corby II). well, i was instructed that i need to settle my 1st account first before i could get this plan.. So that would be 1k + 499 including the new plan.. then all of a sudden they would tell me that i have a balance a total of 4k?? that i dont get since as per policy if i lost my sim card i need to settle my account first before they could release the new sim which i did after my 2 year term with that plan ended.. so ngaun ko lang malalaman kung kailan gusto ko magadd.. since you’re saying that you rely on ur “accurate” system why the heck it ended that i have a balance like that if you do have a billing inquiry and im not informed since 2009?? and i asked you how much my bill everytime i pay you because i would lose the outgoing service if i have 1k overdue. and how come i can still use it if i really have the 4k balance?? and how come when im asking you how much my balance it is not reflecting on my current balance??? and do you want me to provide you all the receipt after 2 years??? GOOOOSSSHHH!!! I ended up terminating my account instead since it pissed me off and sooo much inconvenience.. im not paying it (same amount) where i can just buy a new phone open line.. because of misinformation and wrong setting of expectation you will lose a customer.. though hindi naman ako kawalan since 500 lang naman plan ko unlike any other customer nyo na bigtime… but i hope this would inform the company that small things count. I hope people of this company is aware of what service your employees providing. improper giving of info and inconsistent service ang binibigay nyo… I AM SO DISAPPOINTED WITH GLOBE… i hope this message will reached Mr ZOBEL and AYALA Companies.. I know without me your company will still grow and im still using globe though.. but I just want to let you know that the system and service sucks and ended up with no resolution and no acceptable reason why it happened… :(

    I’m so frustrated with Globe!!! I just changed 2 of my mobile numbers bec i was so fed up with spam messages esp those offering cash loans. lo and behold, the very next day i received my very first cash loan offer on BOTH my very brandnew globe mobile number. Weird was i never even gave both my new numbers to anyone… how the heck did the spammer know both my new numbers? makes me think there is someone in globe selling numbers to spammers…

    more frustrations coming! i just received a notice from this +++ng company asking me to pay a huge amount for terminating the plan as they say, prior the end of the contract. how the hell i would know its not yet time, they csr told me i can terminate it already!!! :(
