The popularity of health and fitness products are ever increasing. From health juices and snacks to health and diet supplements. Getting into the healthy industry seem a profitable business because many Filipinos are just into healthy lifestyle these days, from teens to adults to elderly.
However, the million-peso question remain, how to lose weight fast? While surgical operations in removing fats and cellulite proved to be effective and easy methods of achieving an ideal body weight and size, it remains an expensive option which many cannot afford. The other alternative is taking in diet pills which promises instant results in weeks but many of these diet pills comes with side effects.
Department of Health (DOH) Philippines is now active in promoting awareness to the public with regards to health and fitness supplements which sprout in the market like common mushrooms. There are supplements for the eyes, for the cells, for the heart, for the muscles and for almost every part and organs of the body. I wonder if one with a budget will take a dietary supplement for every category just to make sure he/she will be sickness free. Wow, it’s gonna be one pill after another for a day!
There’s nothing wrong about wanting to be fit, it’s absolutely right to want to be one. The word of advice though, not every product claiming to be good for the health is indeed safe and proper for our body’s needs. Make sure they are Bureau of Food and Drugs (BFAD) certified and makers are known for creating safe and healthy products. As always, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
