It’s official, Malacanang Palace just declared August 30, 2010, Monday, as a non-working holiday.

Said holiday is for the National Heroes Day which is celebrated annually every last Monday of August. President NoyNoy Aquino (PNoy) allowed the holiday on a Monday this time since the observance of National Heroes Day fell exactly on a Monday.

PNoy dislike former president Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s inkling towards holiday economics which changes holidays on a Monday for a long weekend to drive domestic tourism.
