As of this afternoon, the water level of the Marikina River is down to 15.1, a welcome news. Hopefully, the raining will stop already so the water level will continuously go down.
Many of Marikina residents, including me and our whole neighborhood stayed awake and alert as the siren for the second (2nd) alarm filled the streets, particularly, the areas near the river. The water level reached above 16 last night until early this morning which prompted thousands of Marikeños to leave their residence and head to the evacuation centers.
No classes today in preschool, elementary and secondary level in Marikina. No suspension announcement yet in the tertiary level. Let’s pray together for the raining to subside.
