Due to tropical storm “Lando,”  classes from all levels in Metro Manila has been suspended and just this afternoon, Malacanang already declared “half day” suspension of work for government offices except local government units (LGUs). The water level of Marikina river is now 16.0 meters which is equivalent to “alarm level 2″ prompting Marikina residents from the riverside and low-lying areas to evacuate from their houses.

Two of Marikina’s declared evacuation centers are already housing evacuees: Malanday Elementary School with 22 families, 111 persons; and H. Bautista Elementary School with 11 families, 64 person.
