Life can be very stressful.

It is for me who juggles multiple roles and responsibilities on a daily basis. There are so many like me everywhere, those who face challenges and tiring activities day-to-day, and those who may succumb to hopelessness and weariness (as this seem the easy way out instead of fighting back and surviving).

For us whose souls and physical body need resting, we need to give it up, not to forlorn, but to God. We need to let God work in our life and trust upon Him our worries, our life. This I have realized in my own life. That I should not live, work, suffer, and accomplish alone. That it would be impossible to be completely happy and be at peace if you’re not trusting God with your life. Our first line of defense against unhappiness and isolation is believing God’s promise:

“Behold, the Lord thy God hath set the land before thee; go up and possess it, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 1:21

In order for me work productively, stay calm and feel hopeful, I need to be at peace with myself everyday. To do this, I need to connect with God every night before I sleep,d every morning upon waking up, and any time of the day I would find the solitude to talk to Him, while riding a jeepney, when staring at outdoor fountains, finding a quiet corner at work, or even during a long walk home.

The habit of regularly talking to God made me realize how special I am, how blessed I am, and fortunate I am to stay alive and be with the people I care for the most. It made me closer to my family as well, as after I have reconnected with God, I became a more understanding and more loving person. All of these changes are by-products of my renewed relationship with Him.

Yes, life may be hard and taxing but if we trust God our life, we can stride along with peace and gratefulness in our heart. Have a blessed  day. :-)

  1. Promises of God are our inspiration. That is why we never give up though our bodies are tiring; our inner strength is growing everyday. These troubles and sufferings are after all quite small, and won’t last very long. Yes, this short time distress will resort in God’s richest blessing.
