For those who are planning their vacation trips for next year, rejoice as Malacañan Palance already issues the schedule of legal holidays in the Philippines for year 2013.

Proclamation No. 459, signed by the President Benigno Aquino III dated August 16, 2012, declares the REGULAR HOLIDAYS, SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAYS, and SPECIAL HOLIDAY (FOR ALL SCHOOLS) FOR THE YEAR 2013. 

The declaration of holidays continue to follow Ra 9492 mandating the movement of special or regular holidays to the nearest Monday except those which are religious in nature or unless otherwise modified by law, order or proclamation.

Below are the regular holidays and special days for the year 2013 which shall be observed throughout the country:
