As per Marikina Public Information Office (PIO), afternoon classes are suspended in preschool to high school in Marikina, both in public and private schools. Classes in Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Marikina (PLMar) is not suspended, as per the school management.

Due to the heavy raining due to typhoon ‘Marce,’ the Marikina River water level has reached 14.5 meters as of 11:05am. As of 10:36am, all major roads and side streets within the city remain passable.

As of 11:00am, a ‘yellow rainfall’ warning is issued over Metro Manila by the  Department of Science and Technology (DOST), thru their Twitter account at @dost_pagasa. This means moderate to heavy rainfall was observed over Metro Manila for the past 2 hours and most likely to continue for the next 3 hours. Residents are alerted on possible flooding in low-lying areas.

Stay alert with weather and flooding bulletin. If you need to go out of your homes, bring umbrellas or jackets to protect you from rain.
