Marikina Traffic Advisory November 2012

As per practice, a traffic rerouting is being implemented by the City Government of Marikina to assist the people who will flock the cemeteries in the city, particularly Loyola Memorial Park in Barangka. The new routes will be effective from  October 31 to November 3, 2012.

The Marikina PIO came out with the following advisory: 

#MarikinaTraffic advisory:
At exactly 12:00nn Sumulong marikina bridge will be a one-way traffic (going to city proper only).
All vehicles exiting marikina is advised to use alternate route:
*Batasan/San Mateo bridge
*Tumana bridge going to QC
*Gil Fernando going to Marcos Hway
*Sumulong going to Masinag

 

When visiting cemeteries, please note the following reminders:

• do not bring lethal objects, playing cards, and loud music players
• if bringing children along, do not lose sight of them as they may easily get lost in the crowd or may be victims of groups that kidnap/traffick children
• when inside cemteries always be wary of your personal belongings, wallets, electronic gadgets and anything valuable as crowded cemeteries will be most likely become target of pickpockets/thieves
