Comforting Thought on Friday
Everyday is a struggle to live a peaceful, righteous life as the world is full of people who are mindful only of themselves, their wants and needs. To treat others with respect with consideration of their plights and needs, too, is sometimes a lost virtue. It is only by valuing our neighbors that we learn the genuine meaning of love that our Creator unselfishly share with us.
To get us through Friday, here’s a comforting thought and assurance of love:
“We don’t know very much about eternity, but we do know that for the Christian, whatever our emotional and physical struggles are now, they will cease then. Life with God will be better by far.” (from our Daily Bread)
“God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” Revelation 21:4
To feel more peaceful, ready your cool percussion instruments and sing this beautiful upbeat worship song by Hillsong:
The Desert Song
This is my prayer in the desert
And all that’s within me feels dry
This is my prayer in the hunger in me
My God is a God who provides
Verse 2:
And this is my prayer in the fire
In weakness or trial or pain
There is a faith proved
Of more worth than gold
So refine me Lord through the flames
Chorus:
And I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon forged against me shall remain
I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and He is here
Verse 3:
And this is my prayer in the battle
And triumph is still on it’s way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on His promise I’ll stand
Bridge:
All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship
Verse 4:
This is my prayer in the harvest
When favor and providence flow
I know I’m filled to be empited again
The seed I’ve recieved I will sow

AFFIRMING GENUINE CONSOLATORY ASSURANCE OF LOVE
We ostensibly live at a time when simple courtesy (thank you) and politeness (please) are becoming a rarity, but as Christians we ought to be different. Why? Because it is an inherent duty and responsibility of all men. Man, it can be argued, is not a solitary creature owing nothing to no one
God gave man the choice between life and death… and blessings… between curses. It is important to him that man obeys out of Love, for love endures forever
very true! exercising our free will may lead us to disobedience of God’s will and self-righteousness but love will be our strength.
