Pipa (PIzza and PAsta) Brick Oven Pizza and Pasta Restaurant may not be as straightforward as its name. Something different is frying at this food house, maybe the first of its kind in Metro Manila or one of the very few in the entire Philippines.
PiPA Brick Oven Pizza and Pasta House serves FRIED (crunchy and crackling!) Pizza at very affordable prices! This is good news to city folks who are obviously food trippers as more and more restaurants are locating in Marikina offering inexpensive but palatable and remarkable food. As the owner of the PiPA House, Chef Don of Pasig City said, he chose Marikina as the venue for his modest restaurant venture as he sees the city to be the next Maginhawa Street.
This hole-in-the-wall pizza place just opened last March but is already serving regular customers. Who would not frequent a pizza house which most menu come with a price tag of only 99 pesos. Don’t fret though, the 99-peso pizza does not come in small package, they are actually good for sharing as the size is 11×14, truly big for the prize!
The menu is all-star cast as every food item in it are named after a popular local or international celebrity. Customers may choose between thin or fried crust for their pizza.
Best seller fried crust pizza — the Many Pacquiao Supreme. Price? 99 pesos!
Since PiPA pizzas are deep-fried pizzas, one would think they will be soaked in oil, thus, very sinful to eat, health-wise. Surprisingly though, the fried pizzas are not greasy and are crunchy and fun to eat. Something different really.
