Before the summer ends, check out this brief review on the Island Cove Hotel and Leisure Park.
This Island Cove trip in review was during a company outing where the entire resort was rented exclusively for more than a thousand guests. Island Cove is a 3,000 square meter Mediterranean-inspired resort located in Kawit, Cavite. It’s amenities include a hotel, a 2-level lagoon shaped swimming pool with 4 giant slides and inflatables and 2 pools for children, a modest wildlife sanctuary and a fishing village which is perfect for taking solo or group photos.
What I liked about Island Cove:
- The fishing village. This is a good venue to take selfies and groupies. Here are some of our squad shots in the fishing village where we did not go fishing but enjoyed taking our groufies or groupies… or group photos!
What I hope Island Cove was:
- Serving better food. Our group was served 1 lunch and 2 snacks while in the resort and most people I know remarked the food we were served were tasteless, unappetizing. Maybe that’s because we came in a big group, our food was badly prepared or… I am not sure what happened but food was a major disappointment.
- An additional pool for teens and adults. Island Cove has three pools: the biggest one with inflatables; very shallow one with sprinklers for children; and the two-feet pool. That’s about it. When less than a hundred of us dipped in the only adult pool, everybody just stayed off the pool and on the ground. Nothing to do much but kill time.
- Improve the mini zoo although Island Cove already advised in their website that the zoo has ceased operations since July last year. It’s still open for public viewing to this day.
