CENTEX FREE Sholarship Program for August 2010 is Now Open!

The Center for Excellence (CENTEX) of the City Government of Marikina is now accepting registrants for the following courses to be conducted this September of 2010:
- Basic Computer
- Computer Technician
- International Cuisine

Good news to young people of Marikina, the Center for Excellence is now accepting enrollees for the Free 2D Animation Course courtesy of the City Government of Marikina.

All courses are on first-come-first served basis which means you have to enroll as early as you can to ensure your seat in your choice course. Classes starts when a course reaches its at least 20-student target. All courses will run for 80 hours and classes are conducted every Saturday, either 8AM to 12NN or 8AM to 5PM, depending on the allotted shcedule.
Interested applicants must enroll personally at CENTEX located at the 2nd floor of Marikina City Hall. To register, you must bring the following documents:

Every year, I get questions from parents about summer workshops their children may enroll in during vacation. Here it is, the 2010 Summer Art Workshop for Kids and Kids at Heart.
The workshop is very timely as February is declared as Arts Month. The city government, led by Marikina Cultural Tourism, Trade and Investment Promotions Office (MCTTIPO), prepared a lot of exciting activities for the promotion of arts and culture in Marikina this February.
