    • ]]>     Every year, I get questions from parents about summer workshops their children may enroll in during vacation. Here it is, the 2010 Summer Art Workshop for Kids and Kids at Heart.

    The workshop is very timely as February is declared as Arts Month. The city government, led by Marikina Cultural Tourism, Trade and Investment Promotions Office (MCTTIPO), prepared a lot of exciting activities for the promotion of arts and culture in Marikina this February.

    The courses offered for the summer art workshop are the following:

  • Ballet
  • Modern Dance
  • Folk Dance
  • Ballroom Dancing
  • Guitar Lessons
  • Voice Lessons for Radio Talents
  • Theater Acting
  • Drawing
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Photography
  • Creative Writing

    Anyone ages four years old and above are welcome to enroll. The first batch of the workshop is on April 5 to 21, 2010 while the second batch will be April 26 to May 12, 2010. For inquiries, call MCTTIPO at 646-3787 or 430-9733 or 36. You may also visit them at the 2nd floor of Marikina City Hall.

    • ]]> It’s summer and it’s vacation time for our school children. Like most parents, many of us maybe want summer activities for our kids so they would be learning and doing something fun and productive during their school break.

    Good new for Marikenyos, the Teatro Marikina would be holding a SUMMER ART WORKHOP for children. The facilitators for the workshop will be the residents artists of Marikina Cultural, Tourism, Trade and Investment Promotions Office (MCTTIPO) who are really talented, I have worked with these young artists and they were really good. I especially like Jaja and Michelle who are not only pretty young teens but also very smart and bubbly. You would see Jaja in my photos in this website, she served as my model in my articles Visiting Sariaya and Fun at the Pan de Americana.
