Everyone knows about the story of Basilan and all other towns in Mindanao, they suffered and still suffering “deadly” fate from terrorists. I have always wanted to help in any way and I wanted to thank Ambo for calling my attention on this project to HELP BASILAN.

It is sad that after decades ago, our kapatids in the South are still experiencing reign of terrors. War, as old fashion as it may sound, is still alive in Mindanao in the present day. Let us all try to help in our little bloggers’ way.

To quote from Ambo’s Blog:

I know, this kind of post is usually ignored by many readers and bloggers. But think of this, no one could help a Filipino, but Filipinos themselves. Commit yourself. Join us. Let’s spread the word.

One fear of going to Basilan is the old belief that it is indeed a place of Abu-Sayaff. Do you know that it’s only brought by bad publicities long way back? I’ve never been to Basilan, but friends from Mindanao have told me that negative expectations about Basilan suffered not only the ecotourism, but Basilan as a whole.
